Background

BUREAU NORME AUDIT (BNA) was set up in Côte d'Ivoire in November 2006. Its initial objective was to assist companies in the West and Central African sub-region in their efforts to comply with international product health quality standards. With a view to development and to meeting the growing demand for certification, BNA has now become the first local certification body to be accredited ISO 17065 (by DAKKS) for conformity assessment of agricultural products and ISO 17021-1 (by SOAC) for conformity assessment and certification of management systems. To carry out its activities, in addition to its permanent staff, BNA also uses external consultants with proven professional experience in conducting audits. BNA offers services and expertise in four areas of competence
- audit and certification,
- training seminars,
- studies,
- the design and development of labels.
Whether in terms of good agricultural practices, food safety or quality management systems, BNA continues to act as a trusted third party for its partners. BNA, the leading West African certification body, is now exporting its expertise to Senegal, Cameroon, Mali, Benin and, very soon, Algeria and Egypt.
